    Founding Partner

    Gonzalo García-Valdecasas Colell

    Gonzalo García-Valdecasas Colell is a Founding Partner and Lawyer in the FinTech and Corporate areas, with several years of experience in information technology, data protection, blockchain, cybersecurity, and financial and banking regulatory matters. He has provided services at firms specializing in commercial and regulatory law and has been a founding partner and director of various legal and financial technology startups (nominated for Expansión Jurídico awards).

    Additionally, Gonzalo has been a professor in the Master’s program in Legal Tech at CEU San Pablo University and the Master’s in Intellectual Property and Technology Law at the International University of Valencia, as well as at the ISDE and EAE Business Schools.

    Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Granada – Extraordinary Prize for Best Final Degree Project. MBA program at IE Business School. Master’s in Legal Practice and Master’s in Entrepreneurship and New Technologies (both as the top of his class) from IE Law School. Specialized Program in Financial Markets Law from the Institute of Financial Studies.

    You won’t believe it, but he has a hyphenated surname, plays golf, and is a lawyer.

    Lawyer – Regulatory & Technology

    Ramiro Abad González

    Ramiro Abad González is a lawyer and is part of the Technology FinTech Department. Specifically, he advises clients on the implementation and compliance with new regulations concerning crypto assets and manages the new legal paradigm for technology innovation companies.

    Ramiro has experience in both legal and business aspects within technology-based companies, with a particular focus on the FinTech sector. He has also been involved in incubators for business projects based on blockchain technology, such as Monzón-e.

    Ramiro holds a degree in Law from Loyola University, with a Master’s in Legal Practice and Advocacy, as well as a Master’s in Legal Tech from CEU San Pablo University in Madrid.

    Ramiro is one of those people who follow Formula 1 and strives to convince the rest of us that it’s an enjoyable “sport.” For now, he’s still flying solo in that endeavor.

    Sergio Ruiz

    Sergio Ruiz is in charge of Administration at CYSAE.
    Sergio has over 15 years of experience in various areas of administration and management. He has held key roles in companies across different sectors, bringing expertise in revenue and expense control, document management, and client support.

    His experience includes positions of responsibility in administration, payments, monitoring, and customer service.

    Sergio is a key part of CYSAE, when he’s not around, nothing works.

    Advisor - Business Development

    Juan Pablo Fernández

    Juan Pablo Fernández is a business advisor at CYSAE. Pablo has 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship and 9 years in the Tech, Blockchain, and FinTech industries. He currently focuses on consulting, strategy, and business development. His extensive experience in dozens of startups and tech companies in high-responsibility leadership roles has given him the opportunity to discover and add value to all kinds of professionals, business models, and structures. Especially skilled at quickly identifying what works and what’s bound to fail whether due to strategic, managerial, or development issues — and, of course, helping solve it.

    Highly involved in the technical processes within tech companies, he enjoys closely understanding not only the products but also how they are developed and executed. As a result, his profile has become a bridge between the commercial business world and the technical side of technology development.

    Javier Gefaell

    Javier Gefaell is an economist in the M&A and Business Development area.
    Over his extensive professional career, he has accumulated broad expertise in account, team, and resource management across both Latin America and Spain.

    Javier holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros, as well as a Master’s in International Finance from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles.

    Paralegal

    Assumpta Gómez Marco

    Assumpta Gómez is a Paralegal at Cysae, where she is part of the Regulatory and Technology team, taking on a wide variety of responsibilities in both areas.

    She holds a Law degree from the University of Valencia, as well as a Master’s in Legal Practice (access to the legal profession) and a Master’s in Legal Tech from CEU San Pablo University. She specializes in the fintech and financial regulatory sector, with a special focus on blockchain technology and its implementation in the legal and regulatory framework.

    Although her name is Assumpta, everyone calls her Pochi, and her dream is to launch her own cryptocurrency: Pochicoin.

    Paralegal

    Rodrigo Toquero Castelo

    Rodrigo Toquero is a Paralegal at Cysae, where he holds a hybrid role that bridges the legal team and the marketing department, contributing to the firm’s innovation on both fronts.

    He holds a Law degree from the University of Alcalá and a diploma in Blockchain and Law from the Legal Practice School of the Complutense University of Madrid, in addition to having completed the Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession at UNED.

    His professional experience includes creating content on law and technology on social media and through major projects in the tokenization sector such as Token City. He brings a strategic vision oriented toward emerging markets, including his own projects featured on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, where he educates on legal topics in an accessible and engaging way for new audiences.

    Rodrigo Toquero Castelo

    Marcia Pires is a Paralegal at Cysae, where she is part of the Corporate and Regulatory team.


    Marcia holds a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession and Legal Practice, and a Master’s in Corporate Law, M&A, and Financial Management from ISDE, where she specialized in business law and corporate mergers and acquisitions.


    Marcia has heard all possible variations of her name… and she still corrects them with patience.

    Tono Vázquez Ferrer

    Antonio Vázquez Ferrer is a Founding Partner and Lawyer in the Fintech area.
    He has advised numerous companies in the commercial, technology, and fintech sectors, as well as on projects related to blockchain technology. He has participated in a wide range of processes for obtaining licenses and administrative authorizations in the fintech sector, and in the registration of entities with public registries.

    Antonio holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from the University of Valencia. He also has postgraduate studies including a Master’s in International Relations with Asia, a Master’s in Tax Law from CEF, a Double LLM in Law and Technology from IE Law School, and a Specialized Program in Financial Markets Law from IEB.

    Antonio has been a speaker at various institutions and has participated in several conferences on law and technology, including IE Law School, ICAV IFAES, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, South Summit, StartupGrind, and the Malta AI BC Summit.

    He uses his bike as a mode of transportation and can watch a stage of the Tour de France without falling asleep. What can you do? At least he doesn’t use an electric scooter.

    Lawyer - Tax and Regulatory

    Paula Navarro López

    Paula Navarro López is a tax lawyer at CYSAE, overseeing the Tax and Taxation Department. She specializes in both the creation of corporate structures for tax optimization and the organization and management of businesses, as well as the tax and accounting treatment of crypto assets across various business models.

    Paula holds degrees in Law and Business Administration from the University of Alicante. She also has a Master’s in Foreign Trade from ICEX, a Master’s in Legal Practice from UNIR, and a specialized Master’s in Legal Tech from CEU San Pablo University.

    She began her professional experience at the Spanish Embassy in Washington, DC, in the Multilateral Department. She then worked in the Tax and Accounting Department at Auditec Consultores before joining the Legal Department at Telefónica.

    Paula, being a true Alicante native, will stop talking to you if you bring a Tupperware of rice with anything else in it.

    Advisor - Technology & Cybersecurity

    Miguel Ángel Romero

    Miguel Ángel Romero de los Llanos is a technology consultant and advisor at CYSAE.
    Miguel Ángel specializes in cybersecurity and software development, advises various companies, and runs his own tech company. Before launching his business, he honed his skills at ECIX, one of the most renowned tech law firms in Spain and Latin America. He was also one of the founders of the Cyber Defense Directorate of the Air Force and worked on assignments for NATO during his more than 9 years in the Spanish Air Force.

    A pioneer in the use and management of AI. You can probably guess who wrote this description.

    HHRR

    María González Romero

    María González Romero is Head of Human Resources at CYSAE.
    She leads the recruitment, onboarding, and team support processes at CYSAE. She also oversees training, coordination, and team evaluation.

    She holds a degree in Labor Relations and Employment from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

    You’ll never hear María say, “Thank you for your application. We’ll call you.” She ensures that the positive work environment extends beyond what’s visible on the website.

    Paralegal

    Pablo Mochón González

    Pablo is part of CYSAE’s Administration and Accounting team, where he helps manage accounting and administrative operations efficiently.
    He recently expanded his training in financial, labor, and tax accounting, bringing the company a fresh and precise perspective in these key areas.

    With solid professional experience across various sectors and four different countries, Pablo offers a global perspective and a unique ability to adapt to diverse business environments.
    His international background allows him to tackle accounting challenges with a practical mindset and solutions aligned with the highest standards.

    He currently lives in Switzerland, though he jokes that his punctuality and precision in accounting have less to do with Swiss watches and more to do with his love for efficiency… and cheese.

    Ignacio de Gispert

    Ignacio de Gispert is a Partner in the Financial and Investment Management area at CYSAE. With over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and investment management, Ignacio has led projects for startups, real estate companies, and consumer goods firms.

    He is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from ESADE. Throughout his career, he has held key roles at prestigious international firms such as CBRE, Nuveen, PwC, and EY, in Spain, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

    He complements his skills with a passion for Excel and VBA, along with mountain skiing and homemade paellas.

    Kristina
    Paralegal

    Kristina Shavyrina

    Specialized in Civil Law and Data Protection, Kristina holds a Master’s degree in International Law with a focus on Forced Migration and an Advanced Specialization in Legal Tech and Digital Transformation from the Complutense University of Madrid.


    She also keeps up to date with European regulations on crypto-assets and artificial intelligence. Her experience ranges from drafting and negotiating contracts to analyzing European regulatory frameworks applicable to sectors such as entertainment, new technologies, and crypto.

    Financial Department Assistant

    Miguel Duart Meliá

    Miguel holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Valencia, graduating with honors in key subjects such as Corporate Financial Planning and Public Accounting.
    He is currently part of CYSAE’s Finance Department, where he advises clients on financial matters required for regulatory compliance, ensuring that their operations stay in order.

    Miguel previously worked at Asesoría Duart Ferrís as a tax and labor advisor, gaining experience in invoice accounting, bank transaction tracking, and support for Spanish Tax Agency campaigns.

    He has also furthered his education at prestigious institutions such as CUNEF University, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s in Institutions and Financial Markets, and the London School of Economics.

    Although Miguel’s academic record might seem like a recruiter’s dream, he knows that true professional value isn’t measured in diplomas, but in hands-on work.
    Because even flawless numbers need someone who’s not afraid to get their hands “dirty” to make things grow.

    Financial Department Assistant

    Gonzalo Mazo Vaquero

    Gonzalo Mazo Vaquero holds a degree in Finance and is currently developing his career in the Corporate Finance area at CYSAE. Specifically, he supports the firm’s clients on financial matters related to legal compliance, ensuring their business operations run as smoothly as possible.

    He has experience in investment banking and finance, having worked at AETFI as an Investment Banking Intern, where he refined his corporate finance skills and deepened his knowledge of the M&A sector.

    Gonzalo earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Cantabria and furthered his education at prestigious international institutions such as the University of Perugia and the London School of Economics. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Institutions and Financial Markets at CUNEF University, consolidating his technical and analytical profile.

    Gonzalo strongly believes in innovative businesses, but he also knows that even the most disruptive ideas need to understand “classic” finance to succeed. He continues to bet on revolution with his feet on the ground and his mind on the numbers.
