Gonzalo García-Valdecasas Colell is a Founding Partner and Attorney in the Fintech and Corporate sectors with extensive experience in information technology, data protection, blockchain, cybersecurity, and financial and banking regulatory matters. He has served in firms specializing in commercial and regulatory law and has been a founding partner and director of various legal and financial technology start-ups (nominated for Expansión Jurídico awards).

Additionally, Gonzalo has taught the Legal Tech Master’s program at Universidad CEU San Pablo and the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Master’s program at Universidad Internacional de Valencia, as well as at ISDE and EAE Business Schools.

He holds a Law Degree from the University of Granada—where he received the Extraordinary Work Award—and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa. He also completed a Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession and a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and New Technologies (both as the top of his class) at IE Law School, and a Specialization Program in Financial Markets Law from Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles.

Believe it or not, he has a compound surname, plays golf, and is a lawyer.

Antonio Vázquez Ferrer is a Founding Partner and Attorney in the Fintech sector. He has advised numerous companies in commercial, technological, and fintech areas, particularly on projects related to Blockchain technology. He has been involved in various processes for obtaining licenses and administrative authorizations in the fintech sector and registering entities in public registries.

Antonio holds a Law and Business Administration degree from the University of Valencia. He also has postgraduate studies including a Master’s in International Relations with Asia, a Master’s in Tax Law from CEF, a Double LLM in Law and Technology from IE Law School, and a Specialization Program in Financial Markets Law from IEB.

Antonio has been a speaker at various centers and has participated in several conferences on law and technology (IE Law School, ICAV IFAES, Polytechnic University of Valencia, South Summit, StartupGrind, Malta AI & BC Summit).

He uses a bike as his means of transportation and is capable of watching a stage of the Tour de France without falling asleep. What can we say? At least he doesn’t ride an electric scooter.

Laura del Pino Pérez is a Partner and Economist in the Tax & Accounting area. She has extensive experience advising companies of all sizes and has honed her skills through her work with prestigious firms such as PwC Spain.

Laura holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. She also has postgraduate studies, including a Professional Master’s in Auditing from Centro de Estudios Financieros in Madrid.

She balances her professional skills with her passion for skiing and the world of fashion.

Lorena Amaya Montero is a lawyer specializing in Corporate and financial regulatory law. She currently manages the Corporate area, focusing on commercial contracting, investment operations, managing licenses with the National Securities Market Commission, and securities issuances.

Lorena studied Law and Economics at the University of Seville, completed the Master’s in Legal Practice at the European University of Valencia, and obtained a Master’s in Legal Tech from Universidad CEU San Pablo.

Ramiro Abad González is a lawyer and part of the Technology & FinTech Department. He advises clients on the implementation and compliance with new regulations regarding crypto-assets and manages the evolving legal landscape for technology innovation companies.

Ramiro has experience in the legal and business sectors of technology-based companies, with a particular focus on the FinTech sector. He has also participated in incubators for business projects based on Blockchain technology, such as Monzón-e.

He holds a Law degree from Universidad Loyola, a Master’s in Legal Practice and Advocacy, and a Master’s in Legal Tech from Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid.

Ramiro is one of those people who follows Formula 1 and tries to convince the rest of us that it is a fun “sport.” For now, he remains a lone advocate.

Paula Navarro López is a tax lawyer at CYSAE, managing the Tax and Taxation area. She specializes in creating corporate structures for tax optimization, business organization and management, as well as the tax and accounting treatment of crypto-assets across different business models.

Paula holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from the University of Alicante, a Master’s in Foreign Trade from ICEX, a Master’s in Legal Practice from UNIR, and a Master’s in Legal Tech from Universidad CEU San Pablo.

She began her professional experience at the Spanish Embassy in Washington DC in the Multilateral Department, later worked in the Tax and Accounting area at Auditec Consultores, and subsequently joined Telefónica in the Legal Department.

As a true Alicante native, Paula will stop talking to you if you bring a tupperware of rice with stuff.

María González Romero is the Human Resources Manager at CYSAE. She handles recruiting, onboarding, and supporting the entire CYSAE team. Additionally, she is responsible for training coordination and team evaluation.

She graduated in Labor Relations and Employment from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

You’ll never hear María say, “Thank you for your application. We’ll call you.” She ensures that the positive atmosphere extends beyond what’s visible on the website.

Juan Pablo Fernández is a Business Advisor at CYSAE. With 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship and 9 years in the Tech, Blockchain, and FinTech industries, he now focuses on consulting, strategy, and business development. His extensive experience with numerous startups and technology companies in high-responsibility and leadership roles has allowed him to discover and add value to various professionals, business models, and structures. He is particularly skilled at quickly identifying what works and what is destined to fail, whether due to strategic, management, or development errors, and helping to resolve these issues.

He is deeply involved in technical processes within technology companies, enjoying a close understanding of not just the products, but also how they are developed and executed. As a result, his profile has become a bridge between the commercial business world and the technical world of technological development.

Sergio Ruiz is the Administration Manager at CYSAE. With over 15 years of experience in various areas of administration and management, he has held key roles in companies across different sectors, contributing his expertise in income and expense control, document management, and client support.

His experience includes responsibilities in administration, payments, oversight, and customer service.

Sergio is a crucial part of CYSAE; when he’s not around, nothing works.

Miguel Ángel Romero de los Llanos is a consultant and advisor in technology at CYSAE. He specializes in cybersecurity and software development, advising various companies while also running his own tech firm. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, he honed his skills at ECIJA, one of the most recognized tech law firms in Spain and Latin America. Additionally, he is one of the founders of the Cyber Defense Directorate of the Spanish Air Force and has worked with NATO during his more than 9 years in the Air Force.

A pioneer in the use and management of AI, you can probably guess who wrote this description.

Javier Gefaell is an Economist in the M&A & Business Development area. Throughout his extensive professional career, he has gained broad expertise in account management, team leadership, and resource allocation in both Latin America and Spain.

Javier holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros and a Master’s in International Finance from Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles.

Ignacio de Gispert is Of Counsel in the Financial and Investment Management area at CYSAE. With over 20 years of experience in Corporate Finance and investment management, Ignacio has led projects for startups, real estate companies, and consumer goods firms.

He is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from ESADE. Throughout his career, Ignacio has held key roles at prestigious international firms such as CBRE, Nuveen, PwC, and EY, working across Spain, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

A master of Excel and VBA, Ignacio balances his professional expertise with mountain skiing adventures and cooking homemade paellas.

Pablo Monchón González is part of the Administration and Accounting team, where he helps efficiently manage accounting and administrative operations. Recently, he has expanded his expertise in financial, labor, and tax accounting, providing the company with a precise and updated approach to these critical areas.

With solid professional experience across various sectors and four different countries, Pablo brings a global perspective and a unique ability to adapt to diverse business environments. This international insight enables him to tackle accounting challenges with practical solutions aligned to the highest standards.

Currently residing in Switzerland, he humorously clarifies that his accounting punctuality and precision owe less to Swiss watches and more to his passion for efficiency… and cheese. 

Rodrigo Toquero Castelo is a Paralegal at CYSAE, where he bridges the legal and marketing teams, driving innovation in the firm from both perspectives.

A Law graduate from the University of Alcalá, Rodrigo also holds a specialized diploma in Blockchain and Law from the Legal Practice School of Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and he completed the Master’s in Legal Practice and Advocacy at UNED.

His professional experience includes creating content on law and technology for social media, contributing to major tokenization projects such as Token City. He brings a strategic vision focused on emerging markets and has developed his own projects, primarily on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, where he educates and informs new audiences about legal topics in an engaging and accessible way.

“Rodrigo is a TikToker, but not because his last name is Toquero… that’s just a coincidence.” 

Assumpta Gómez Marco is a Paralegal at CYSAE, where she is part of the Regulatory and Technology team, undertaking a wide range of tasks within these areas.

A Law graduate from the University of Valencia, Assumpta also holds a Master’s in Legal Practice and Advocacy and a Master’s in Legal Tech from Universidad CEU San Pablo. She specialized in FinTech and financial regulation, with a particular focus on blockchain technology and its implementation in the Spanish legal landscape.

Although her name is Assumpta, everyone knows her as Pochi. Her dream? To launch her very own cryptocurrency: Pochicoin. 

Gonzalo Mazo Vaquero holds a degree in Finance and is currently developing his expertise in the Corporate Finance area at CYSAE. Specifically, he supports the firm’s clients with financial matters stemming from legal compliance, ensuring their business operations run as smoothly as possible.

Gonzalo has experience in investment banking and corporate finance, having worked as an Investment Banking Intern at Atefi, where he refined his skills in corporate finance and gained in-depth knowledge of the M&A sector.

He graduated in Business Administration from the University of Cantabria and has furthered his education at prestigious international institutions such as Università degli Studi di Perugia and the London School of Economics. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Financial Institutions and Markets at CUNEF University, strengthening his technical and analytical profile.

Gonzalo firmly believes in innovative businesses but understands that even the most disruptive ideas need a solid grasp of “classic” finance to take off. He remains committed to the revolution, but with his feet firmly grounded in the numbers.

Miguel Duart Meliá holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from Universitat de València, graduating with honors in key subjects such as Financial Planning and Management and Public Accounting. Currently, he is part of the Financial Department at CYSAE, advising clients on financial matters required for regulatory compliance, ensuring their operations remain orderly and efficient.

Previously, Miguel worked at Asesoría Duart Ferrís as a tax and labor advisor, gaining experience in invoice accounting, bank transaction recording, and supporting tax campaigns for the Spanish Tax Agency.

He has further enhanced his education at prestigious institutions such as CUNEF University, where he is pursuing a Master’s in Financial Institutions and Markets, and the London School of Economics.

Although Miguel’s academic record is every recruiter’s dream, he knows true professional value isn’t measured in diplomas but in hands-on experience. After all, even the cleanest numbers need a few “mud stains” to truly grow.
